Headliner Phil Vassar performs at 8:00 p.m.
1999 was a pivotal year for Phil Vassar. In that year, he had three #1s ("Right on the Money", "Bye Bye," and "I'm Alright"), won ASCAP Songwriter and Song of the Year, secured an Arista recording contract, released Carlene, and had a Gold-certified album. Twenty years later, his hits span 10 albums and have been recorded by the likes of Kenny Rogers, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina, Blackhawk, David Nail, Cam, and many others.
A piano-pounding, energetic entertainer, Phil's 2019 tour is appropriately named the "Hitsteria Tour." The tour comes on the heels of his "Not So Silent Night" Christmas Tour with Lonestar, cementing him as a fan favorite during the holiday season.
Other highlighted milestones include: a new album featuring never-released songs written throughout his 20-year career, including an acoustic version of an upcoming single written by Phil and his daughter, Haley; a national launch of "Songs from the Cellar" airing on PBS beginning in January; and a holiday album release in collaboration with a major national retailer featuring Nashville's favorite artists in November!
Opening Act: Rob Nichols performing at 7:00 p.m.
Rob Nichols grew up in the small town of Groveland, FL and although he was on the shy side he had a natural ability to entertain. It didn’t take long for him to begin his journey to Nashville and by the age of 21 he had become a published songwriter, member of BMI, and an experienced demo singer. Rob has played many of the venues on Music Row as well as the hundreds of Honky Tonks and Music Fests throughout the Southeast. All of that allowed him to share the stage with some of his heroes and Country Music's Greatest.
